WJAB "The Big Jab" transmitted 5 kW omni-directional (non-directional) from this single antenna tower until 1982. This site was maintained as a 250-watt backup until 1985. Above is a 1963 music survey.

This antenna was abandoned shortly after the station moved to a new directional-array transmitter site for fulltime operation, but the tower and ATU were never dismantled. The series-fed tower was grounded at the base and later used as a mast for STL antennas until studios were moved out of an adjacent office building. These are photos of components inside the abandoned ATU.
